Vibrant Colors That Last a Lifetime

Screen printing (or silk screening) is a traditional printing technique that involves pushing ink through a woven mesh stencil onto the material. This method deposits a thicker layer of ink than digital printing, resulting in exceptionally vibrant colors and extreme durability.

At AQSA Print, we operate multi-color automated screen printing presses capable of producing thousands of high-quality branded garments and promotional items every day. It's the gold standard for bulk apparel printing.

  • Thick, vibrant ink layers that stand out on any color garment
  • Highly durable — prints outlast the garment in most cases
  • Exact Pantone (PMS) color matching for corporate branding
  • Unit cost drops significantly on high-volume runs

The Economics of Screen Printing

Screen printing requires creating a custom mesh stencil (a "screen") for every single color in your design. Because of this setup time, screen printing is not economical for runs of just 1 or 2 items.

However, once the press is set up, it can print hundreds of items per hour. For orders of 50 units or more, screen printing becomes incredibly cost-effective. We recommend keeping designs to 1-3 solid colors to maximize impact while minimizing setup costs.

How We Work

Our Screen Printing Process

1

Artwork Separation

Your design is separated into individual color layers. Vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG) works best for this process.

2

Screen Creation

We expose your design onto a photo-sensitive mesh screen using UV light—creating one custom screen per color.

3

Printing

Ink is squeegeed through the screens onto the garment layer by layer, building up the final full-color image.

4

Curing

The printed garments are passed through a high-temperature conveyor dryer to permanently cure the ink into the fabric.

FAQ

Common Questions

Screen Printing vs. DTF — which is better?

Screen printing is better for large bulk orders (50+) with 1-3 solid colors. It offers unmatched durability. DTF (Direct-to-Film) is better for small quantities or complex, full-color photographic designs.

Why do you charge per color?

Every color in your design requires a separate physical screen to be created, set up on the press, aligned, and cleaned afterward. Fewer colors mean lower setup costs.

Can you print photographic images?

While we can do simulated process screen printing for complex images, we usually recommend DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing for full-color photographs or designs with complex gradients.

Do you supply the garments?

Yes. We have a wide range of blank t-shirts, polos, hoodies, and bags in stock from leading brands. You can also supply your own garments if preferred.
